July 31, 2008 - Matthew Lawrence - SBNMS Draft Management Plan

Matthew Lawrence of NOAA’s Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary gave a presentation to the Club highlighting the proposals in the Draft Management Plan and Environmental Assessment. The final Plan could affect divers’ rights regarding use of Stellwagen Bank, as well as the rights of fishermen and other groups. It was a very interesting night and there were a lot of questions from those in the audience.

If you want to have input on the final Plan and its impact on your rights to dive on the Bank, now is the time to find out about the proposals and to make your comments – the deadline for comments has been extended until the beginning of October.
