- Jim found a “gold” chain at OGB.
Must have been dropped recently as
there was no growth. He forgot to
wear it to the meeting.
- Jim and Adam went to Canoe Beach
in Nahant. 50°F at depth. Jim stirred
up an egger who hit Adam in the
head. Saw baby grubbies in the
shallows.
- Graham went with John, Jeff and
Jack to Lanes. John got only one
lobster. Getting in was ok but needed
to use hands and knees to get out. 49F
at depth.
- This weekend: Dive Locker will be
doing a helmet dive starting around
10 on Sunday.
General Discussion:
- Ellen asked who to speak with about
resorts in Lembeh. Mike Walsh
(MWDC) and Adam have been.

18-Sep-2014
Abbreviated Meeting for Presentation
Meeting called to order: 7:44PM
Attendance: 2 Officers, 20 Members, 2
Guests
Correspondence:
- Pat and Annette requested a list of
attendees for the VT week
camping/diving event.
Committees:
- Program: See website and 9/11 notes
for details
- There is an issue with the Picnic
Permit for Stage Fort Park. City of
Gloucester has given us a permit to
use Plum Cove instead. The BSC
Treasure Hunt event will begin about
an hour after the previously
scheduled time as tide is not high
until 2:25PM, and the cove has little
water at low tide.
New Business:
- Cashes Ledge petition is available for
signing. Don’t sign it if you’ve
already done so at Sea Rovers.
- Memberhsip approved spending $300
for ICC for banquet, with
understanding that we’d also likely
pay $75 additional bar fee.
- Membership approved spending up
to $350 for Sea Rovers booth; it should
be closer to $285 which is what it was
last year.
Dive Talk:
- Bill, Graham, Ralph and Gary met,
but it was blowing hard and they
decided to cancel.
- Amy also aborted her dive.
General Discussion:
- Several people went on the whale
watch Saturday. Sadly we turned
around before getting to the site due
to rough seas and wind, but everyone
got a rain check that’s good
indefinitely. It was pointed out that
they might not honor it for a group
and someone should congtact them to
ensure we can go as a group again;
Adam said he would do that.
- When diving OGB, where’s the best
place to go? Per John, head straight
out about 80’, head to left. Pinacle is
another choice.
- Dive Locker: Jack dove with the
MarkV on Saturday. Hoist broke so
no diving Sunday.
Raffles: Dollars Box: Jeff Lynch
Mystery Prize: Jeff Lynch
Bug Bag: Ongoing
After the business meeting, we
had an excellent presentation by
Ethan Gordon on photography
techniques he used on the wrecks
in Truk Lagoon.
