I've not been a fan of Steve Frink for long time now. His glowing review of Club Fortuna in Skin Diver Magazine (R.I.H.) ended up costing my wife and me hundreds of extra dolars and two lost days, when we found a decrepit joint filled with chain-smoking Italian-only speaking guests, no access to anywhere else, and a room where the ocean view could only be had by standing on the toilet and peering out a 1 X 3 window.

Now, courtesy of CDNN, read this: The Frink's Job and the Great Spiegel Grove Robbery

Whaddaguy!

The St. Patrick's Day Party at Mary Howard's house was good fun. There was a bountiful assortment of tasty comestibles, including corned beef & cabbage, (an unusually delicious) Irish soda bread, 2 kinds of stuffed clams, calzone, and lots of other hot and cold finger food. Some people were seen to be drinking. I'm sure their dead relatives appreciated it.

Thanks to Mary for hosting it, yet again!

The Bulletin script is now set to kill moot bulletins; i.e, you should no longer be greeted on March 24th, with an invite to a March 20th event, regardless of when you last visited the web site. It used to give you the bulletin simply based on whether or not you had received it.

This does mean, however, that if you don't visit often, you may not only miss out on, but won't even hear about, some serious scuba fun, so come back often!

Please do let me know if it isn't working for you!

The North Shore Frogmen's Dive Club cordially invites you to attend a presentation given by Victor Mastone and David Trubey of the Massachusetts Board of Underwater Archaeological Resources.  Victor and David will be presenting an Overview of Archeology in Massachusetts, including some information on inland projects. The presentation will begin at 8:30PM, after the club's regular business meeting, tomorrow, Thursday, March 20th at the Franco American Club, 44 Park Street, Beverly

Established in 1973, the Massachusetts Board of Underwater Archaeological Resources is the sole trustee of the Commonwealth's underwater heritage, promoting and protecting the public's interests in these resources for recreational, economic, environmental, and historical purposes.   The board encourages the discovery and reporting, as well as the preservation and protection, of underwater archaeological resources. Anyone, young or old, that is interested maritime history, archeology, or diving in general is welcome to attend!

Would you like to learn more about scuba diving?  Come to the presentation and talk to our members.  We are a very diverse diveclub.  Our diving abilities range from new diver to tech, our interests include fishing, photography, search & rescue and more.  Why not come to our presentation and explore the wonders of the underwater world with the Frogmen!

The new menu system seems to be working for me... how'bout you? There should be a Navigation Menu at the top of the screen when you first come to the NSF page. Click on it and it will take you to where you want to go, and it will disappear. The button at the bottom right should bring it back, or hide it, whenever you would like. As always sending me email is always more effective than warming your wet suit or moaning about it to others.

In response to user comments, we've started to revamp the site navigation. In the coming weeks you should see some big changes which, we hope, will make your surface swim here at the site a little shorter, and allow you to dive in to the information a little a little more easily.

The first change (actually, an update of an oversite) is to make sure that everyone knows: Clicking on Freddie anywhere on the site, brings you to the home page.

More to come. Comments are always welcome
