Bay State Council of Divers meeting held October 11

The Bay State Council of Divers held its most recent meeting last Wednesday, October 11, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick. This is the meeting that was planned for the "Dive Industry". There were about 40 people in attendance, including dive shop owners, dive boat captains, government officials and members of dive clubs. Angelo Correnti, current president of the BSC, and Steve Coren, the attorney retained by the BSC, both gave updates on the Gloucester dive flag situation.

Things are progressing. There have been meetings between Mr. Coren and officials in Gloucester. Future updates will be posted, and the minutes of the last meeting will be in the November issue of Air Bubbles.

The next Bay State Council meeting is scheduled for October 25 at the South Shore Neptunes clubhouse in Quincy (corner of Quarry Street and Joyce Road). The meeting will be held at 7:30pm and all are welcome to attend. Contact me for directions or carpooling.
